RAAF Challenger 604 Bizjet A37-003 & Super King Air A32-339 Both Call into Rockhampton Airport

On Friday 7 July, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-003 of the VIP 34 Squadron in Canberra was spotted arriving into Rockhampton Airport from RAAF Base Amberley.

It was flying as "Consort 03" and is believed to have brought Politicians and other VIPs to Rocky to inspect the lead-up to joint Military Exercise Talisman Saber 2017 (TS17).

After parking for most the day on the Rockhampton Airport apron, A37-003 was noted departing for the South again as "Consort 03".

Meanwhile, RAAF Beech B350 Super King Air A32-339 has had a couple of busy days, calling into Rockhampton Airport at least three times using different radio callsigns of 32 Squadron based at East Sale in Victoria.

On Thursday 6 July, A32-339 was noted flying "Hudson 15" and flew into Rockhampton Airport from Townsville.  It looked to later depart to Brisbane and then Sydney before it returned to Townsville.

Then on Friday 7 July, A32-339 was noted flying as "Beaufort 02" and looked to complete two return flights from Townsville to Rocky and then back - as shown above.
