Queensland Government Super King Air VH-SGQ - Plus Bizjets Come and Go - At Rockhampton Airport

Certainly an interesting series of flights over Tuesday 27 October and Wednesday 28 October with the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ calling into Rockhampton Airport three times over the course of two busy days of flying.

On Tuesday, VH-SGQ flew from Brisbane to Maryborough and back to the Brisbane before it then operated a return flight to Rockhampton.

Then on Wednesday, VH-SGQ looked to be operating prisoner transfer flights - usually operated by the Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK - as during a busy day of flying it called into Rockhampton Airport twice, along with Townsville, Cairns and Mackay before returning to Brisbane.

Meanwhile earlier on Wednesday 28 October, Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-KXM departed Rockhampton Airport for Townsville and Vanrook Station.  It had arrived from Vanrook Station via Cairns earlier in the week.

Also on Wednesday 28 October, Redjet Aviation Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-PJU called into Rocky from Emerald.  It later departed back out to Emerald before flying onward to Roma and its Toowoomba base.

Finally, shortly before this post was written, late on Wednesday 28 October, Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 VH-CXJ was noted calling into Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane.  It later departed to Townsville using the usual callsign of "Ambulance 452".
